My name is Natasha- but since we’re friends, you can call me Nat.
I’m 27, I live in Toronto, Canada, I work in the music industry, and I live and breathe everything health and wellness.
I never used to care much about my health. Like a lot of women, I was mostly concerned with my outside appearance, quick fixes, and the number on the scale. But the health issues that I’ve had to face in the past 10 years really forced me to look at my body in a deeper, more holistic way! I am a proud eating disorder survivor, and I’m currently on a journey to heal myself of Lyme Disease, co-infections (Bartonella, Babesia Duncani, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever), SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth), IBS, Epstein-Barr Virus, food intolerances, Dysbiosis, auto-immunity, low functioning liver and gallbladder, hormonal imbalances and Adrenal Fatigue.
Name a diet and I guarantee you that I’ve tried it. Name a supplement and I bet you that I’ve been on it at some point. I’ve spent thousands of hours researching my symptoms, seeking specialists, supplements, herbs, recipes etc… I’ve seen naturopaths, nutritionists, functional medicine doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths, acupuncturists, gastroenterologists: You. Name. It.
I’ve learned a lot along the way (and I’m still learning), but by far the most important piece of information that I’ve picked up is that there is no “One Size Fits All” approach to healing. We are all different people and what might work for one person, may not work for another (and vise versa). My mission is to connect with others by sharing my personal experiences, delicious recipes, tips and tricks, and the ups and downs of healing from an illness. Hopefully by sharing my story, I can help some people in the process.
